Chicago

Overview

The Chicago Bridges program began in 1990. Chicago Bridges serves in-school and out-of-school young adults ages 17-24.

Bridges staff members, known as Youth Employment Specialists, work with young adults individually and in groups to identify career goals, develop interviewing skills, connect with employers, create a résumé, apply for jobs, get a job, and succeed in a job. Youth Employment Specialists work closely with each young person, providing instruction, guidance, and mentoring that increases confidence, builds character, and enhances professionalism.

The Chicago Bridges program has been accredited by CARF for the following Community Employment Services: Employment Supports and Job Development.
